Our Mission is To Serve The Needs of Individuals and Families Affected by Breast Cancer
Lisa’s Pink Petals of Hope established in 2014, with a mission to serve the needs of individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
In April 2011, Lisa Marie Sands-Minnifield was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and noticed that information were not made available to her and others during their journey and vowed to make a difference. She begin obtaining and sharing educational materials during doctor visits on information supporting surgery options, treatments and essential garments needed after a lumpectomy or mastectomy to regain symmetry and balance if reconstruction was not an option or desire.
In November 2011, Lisa co-founded A New You Pink Boutique where she utilized her platform to share Gods word and promise for others. She labored to create a place where woman impacted with breast cancer could be inspired and feel special while obtaining essential garments needed to regain symmetrical balance. After witnessing many suffering with financial hardship from loads of medical bills and loss of income during recovery, she created an Angel Closet with barely used items through donations of other partnering survivors.
In 2012, Lisa’s cancer returned and she passed away on April 2013. With such aspiration and love for others, the creation of Lisa’s Pink Petals of Hope was inspired to keep her legacy and vision alive!
Today, LPPOH remains with even a greater vision and have touched thousands of individuals and families through our programs; Breast Screening Initiative (BSI), Garment Fund Initiative (GFI), Patient Advocate Liaison Service (PALS), and the Lisa Marie Humanitarian Scholarship which provides financial assistance to High School Seniors that goes above and beyond for his or her community.
